Interview with La Petta Collier concerning her experiences as a resident of Hamilton Park, Texas from 1957 to 1991. Collier discusses her segregated rural education in South Texas, housing for African Americans in Dallas in the 1950s, her decision to buy a home in Hamilton Park, home improvements, Civic League, Hamilton Park School, desegregation, zoning problems, church activities, and the "Buy Out."
